Fort Bayard Recreation Area

The Fort Bayard Recreation Area is a day use area close to Silver City with a high density of trails for hiking, bicycling, and horseback riding. It includes four designated trailheads and two National Recreation Trails - the Woodhaul Wagon Road Trail and Sawmill Wagon Road Trail, as well as providing connection to the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail.
