Send holiday joy to Job Corps students

Since 2020, Forest Service employees across the country have joined together to contribute cards, well-wishes and a sense of family for Job Corps students who remain on campus over the Winter Break.

And your generosity has been immense. Students enjoy a sense of connectedness and belonging that all too many have not experienced before. Thank you for bringing these young people into your hearts!

As we begin the 2024 holiday season, we are once again offering this opportunity.

The Department of Labor authorized a two-week winter break for all enrolled students. Most will go home to their families, but some do not have homes to return to, and there are always many students who remain on center for their own safety and wellbeing. These students came to the Forest Service Civilian Conservation Centers to change their lives, and we are honored to care for them over the holiday season.

Any Federal employee can take part, so please share this with all who might wish to participate.

For anyone one who would like to participate, please fill out the Sponsor for Job Corps Holiday Program form. Forest Service Job Corps will then match volunteers with students, across our 24 Civilian Conservation Centers. We know that in addition to the personalized well-wishes, students also receive a connection through the Forest Service.

So thank you once again, for the outpouring of support that we've seen over the past few years, and we hope to make this holiday season even more joyful!
