Boulder Flat Campground
Boulder Flat Campground is situated in a mixed conifer forest along the banks of the Stanislaus River. It is located 20 miles east of the Summit Ranger Station on Highway 108. There are a total of 20 camping sites; one is a double site and two are walk-in sites. The main road is paved with dirt-surfaced parking pads. Restrooms are vault toilets. Water is piped; each hydrant serves several sites. A fee is charged for extra vehicle parking. There is no designated trail down to the river.

If you wish to use a stove, grill, or have a campfire it is recommended, but not required, that you get a campfire permit. This FREE Permit can be obtained at preventwildfiresca.org or at any ranger station. Do not burn plastic or metal. Please leave the area in as good (or better) condition than you found it
The Interagency Senior and Interagency Access Passes are honored and provide a 50 percent discount on camping fees in the campground. Pass number must be written on fee envelope or Pass must be shown to Host. The Interagency Annual and Volunteer passes do not provide any discounts on camping. Passes are not accepted for double sites.
Camp in designated sites only. The number of people allowed in a single campsite is six. The maximum length of stay in any campground is 14 days. Please leave the area in as good (or better) condition than you found it. Often, locations destroyed by thoughtless campers must be closed to restore the area's natural health. Help ensure your favorite area remains open.
Overnight Use:
Single Site: $22/night.
Group Site: $44/night.
Interagency Senior/Access Recreation Passes provide a 50% discount to Single Campsites ONLY.
