Lake Sinclair Recreation Area
The majestic Lake Sinclair was created when the waters of the Oconee River were impounded by Georgia Power Company in 1953 to operate a hydro-electric generating station. The Lake Sinclair recreational area is located in the heart of Georgia. This 15,330 acre lake (with 417 miles of shoreline!), ideal for families, scout troop meetings, or church gatherings. Lake Sinclair Recreation Area is a great place for picnicking, hiking, boating, fishing and swimming. and offers 33 campsites, with 5 campsites for campers with electric and water being available.

Open year round
Hours for day use, picnic and swim and boat ramp are sunrise to sunset. Check in for camping is upon arrival. Please be considerate of other campers during quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
Georgia State fishing license, valid boat registration required. Camp fire permits are not required. Click here for information!
Annual Forest Pass: This pass sells for $ 25.00 and is valid for US Forest Service boat ramps and day use areas throughout the Chattahoochee Oconee National Forest. Available at the Oconee Ranger District Office, located at 1199 Madison Rd. (US 441/129) Eatonton GA. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. excluding holidays.

- No generators allowed
- Camp site ooccupancy limited to 5 persons or immediate family.
- No Fireworks on the National Forest! Possessing, discharging or using any kind of fireworks or other pyrotechnic or explosive device. 36 CFR 261.52 (f)
Camping Fees Camping without hook-ups: $9/site/night
Camping with hook-ups: $15/site/night
Day Use Fees $ 5.00 per vehicle
$ .50 per person/ Bus or Commercial vehicle or walk in. Pay your day use recreation fees and purchase the yearly Chattahoochee-Oconee Forest Pass online through recreation.gov

Directions
From I-20 Exit 114 in Madison Ga Take US 441/129 south 23 miles to the intersection of US 129 south., also known as the Gray Rd. Turn right at the light and travel 8 miles to the intersection of GA- 212,turn left onto GA 212 and travel 1 mile turn left onto Twin Bridges Rd. travel 1.1 miles then turn left into the campground.
