Passes
Ready to enjoy amazing outdoor adventures? The Olympic National Forests offer places for hiking, biking, nature viewing, scenic drives, and for gathering forest products such as mushrooms, firewood, and Christmas trees.
Many of the facilities and services associated with these opportunities are free. However, some do require fees or permits to help maintain, manage and improve the forest's infrastructure. You have several options to purchase annual passes.
Recreation Pass Types

Buy passes in-person at a Forest Service office or local store. Obtain passes online at Discover Your NW or US Geological Survey Store.
Recreation passes provide access to Forest Service operated recreation sites in Washington and Oregon where a day use fee is required. Less than 20 developed day use sites on the Olympic National Forest require a fee.
Annual passes cover day-use or entrance fees all year, while single-day passes work for one day.
During Fee Free Dates the Forest Service waives recreation fees at most day-use sites on lands managed by the agency. Participation by concession-operated sites may vary.
