SOPA Reports

The Schedule of Proposed Actions (SOPA) contains a list of proposed actions for Olympic National Forest that will soon begin or are currently undergoing environmental analysis and documentation. It provides information so that you can become aware of and indicate your interest in specific proposals. We encourage your early and ongoing involvement in any proposals of interest to you.

Olympic National Forest Projects

Proposed treatment of multiple sites along FS Roads 29, 30, 2922, and 2932 damaged in storm events. Range of activities proposed: debris clearing, culvert replacement, fill removal, bank stabilization, temporary bridges to restore access.

Project would remove derelict dam structure, conduct riparian thinning to support seasonal migration in and out of the pond by native anadromous fishes and encourage beaver recolonization.

The Northwest Forest Plan Amendment provides an updated management framework that incorporates best available scientific information, considers public input, recommendations from the Federal Advisory Committee, tribes, and government partners.
